Launched in 2006, the EvalRing is the result of a collaborative, self-financed effort of several independent evaluators and small evaluation consulting firms. They have been supported by other Consultants, which helped with the drawing of the logo, the programming of the database, and its hosting under a secure environment.

The EvalRing is being managed by Bridges -an evaluation consulting based in Brussels, in the same spirit of cooperation with other evaluators; all revenues from memberships -deducted taxes and bank expenses, are reinvested in its maintaining, upgrading, and marketing. From this perspective, the Webring is a not-for-profit initiative.

The EvalRing aims now to achieve its self-sustainability; this can be reached trough subscriptions, donations, or sponsorships. For more information, send an email to main@evaluators-webring.net

The EvalRing publishes a database containing the professional profile of each Member; the database is accessible for free by anybody.
The database clusters the areas of expertise of Members by criteria, such as the types of evaluations conducted, their main evaluative approaches, their fields of expertise, the clients served, their geographic experience and others.
The profiles published on the EvalRing contain the email address of the Members and link to their own websites, thus allowing potential Customers to set a direct contact with them; this also helps Evaluators in networking with other colleagues.

The EvalRing publishes a regularly updated, commented directory of web resources publishing vacancy announcements of interest to Evaluators. This Directory can be accessed by anybody, for free at the page 'Job resources'.

From time to time, the EvalRing receives announcements of vacancies for Evaluators that are not published in any of the sites listed under the page 'Job resources'; these vacancy announcements are forwarded by email to Members.

The EvalRing is regularly marketed to potential Customers of evaluation services, thus enhancing the visibility of its Members.

The EvalRing

The membership of the EvalRing is yearly, and for year 2008 costs 30 Euro (approximately 45 USD).

Secure payments with credit cards are processed via PayPal.
However, Members from within the Euro-zone are encouraged to make their payments via bank transfer (no bank charges apply), as to save on administrative costs.

For each payment received, an electronic invoice is issued by Bridges. Bridges is the evaluation consulting managing the Independent Evaluators' Webring, and is located in Brussels (Belgium).

The database of the EvalRing includes two categories of Members: Members not owning a professional website: these Members can be contacted by potential Customers trough their email address. Members owning a professional a website: they are more visible to potential Customers, because their profile links to their website, and their website links to the Webring; this is a mechanism that increases reciprocal visibility. Also these Members can be contacted by potential Customers trough their email address.

Organisations, businesses and any other potential Customer of evaluation services are invited to consult the fully searchable database of Evaluators members of the EvalRing, which contains a short, standard profile of each of them. The profiles inform about the types of evaluations conducted by each Member, his/her main approaches to evaluation, fields of expertise, clients served, geographic experience and other professional skills. Once identified the Evaluators of their interest, potential Customers can set a direct contact: the database contains their email addresses and link to their own professional websites. The consultation of the database if free for anybody. Potential Customers can furthermore send their vacancy announcements for evaluators to the EvalRing; these vacancies will be forwarded to the Members of the EvalRing via email. Also this service is free for Customers of evaluation services.
